KAHLOTUS FBLA

Future Business Leaders of America, Inc. (FBLA) is the largest business Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) in the world.  Each year, FBLA helps over 230,000 members prepare for careers in business.

 

Future Business Leaders of America, Inc. (FBLA) inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. To guide the organization’s work in fulfilling this mission, FBLA’s Board of Directors approved the following goals for 2023-2026.   

 

Deliver meaningful, distinct, relevant, and continuous experiences for Middle School, High School, and Collegiate student members. 

  • Define the FBLA member experience as a continuum 

  • Expand Middle School program opportunities 

  • Strengthen High School at the chapter and classroom level 

  • Redefine the Collegiate division around career development  

Develop a culture in which all are welcome, have complete opportunity, and are actively engaged. 

  • Revise governing documents to reflect inclusive language 

  • Ensure access for students with disabilities 

  • Develop and adjust programming to address underserved and special populations according to Perkins V legislation 

  • Provide access for English language learners  

Support alumni, advisers, school administrators, employers, related organizations, and professional networks to drive our organization forward. 

  • Increase chapter development and competitive event resources, create a professional development program, and establish a national recruitment and retention program for advisers 

  • Create a comprehensive volunteer and stakeholder management plan 

  • Develop the FBLA Alumni & Professional Network  

The FBLA advisor is Ms. Ellis.  Ms. Ellis has been leading FBLA members to state and national conferences for over 8 years.  Ms. Ellis brings with her a multitude of business ownership experience.  Her largest company was a service company that she owned from 1999 - 2016.
